Drone-Mounted IMSI Catcher IMSIX02

IMSIX02 is an advanced airborne cellular intelligence solution built on the DJI M350 RTK. It can search, track, and locate mobile phones by identifying their IMSI numbers. Compared to its predecessor, IMSIX01, it offers three times higher search and locating efficiency and a 50% increase in detection altitude. Additionally, its enhanced automatic sensing of public networks and auto-configuration of network parameters significantly improve ease of use for mission operators.

AT A GLANCE

The drone-mounted IMSI Catcher IMSIX02 is an advanced airborne cellular intelligence solution built on the DJI Matrice 350 RTK platform.

The IMSI Catcher, powered by software-defined radio, supports multiple telecommunication standards, including GSM (2G), WCDMA (3G), LTE (4G), 5G NSA, and 5G SA, ensuring adaptability to network evolution over the next decade. Designed as a highly integrated, plug-and-play system, it can be mounted on the drone within a minute, enabling rapid deployment without the need for time-consuming installation or complex calibration procedures.

Seamlessly integrated with the DJI drone’s data transmission system, the airborne IMSI Catcher ensures uninterrupted operation within a radius of up to 8km (CE/SRRC/MIC) / 20 km (FCC)*. The software application (APP) runs on the drone’s remote controller or an Android tablet, logging all detected data with GPS and timestamping for post-mission analysis.

Engineered for global deployment, the system’s hardware supports networks and frequency bands in almost every country. Its intelligent software autonomously detects public networks in any region, enabling the identification of both domestic and international roaming users.

*According to DJI specifications, the maximum distance is under the condition of “unobstructed, free of interference” environment.

KEY FACTS

1. Features a highly integrated design, the system supports plug-and-play operation, eliminating the need for time-consuming installation or complex calibration procedures.

2. The intuitive software interface integrates flight status, maps, videos, mission settings, GPS and IMSI search results into a single screen for seamless operation.

3. Works in 2G, 3G, 4G, 5G NSA, 5G SA network conditions and no signal areas; Works under various weather conditions; Detects visible and invisible targets.

4. Supports 4 channels which can be software defined to all network modes, frequency bands, and (E/U/NR) ARFCNs.

5. Supports blacklist and whitelist functions with import and export capabilities. An alarm is triggered upon detecting a blacklist number.

6. Supports automatic sensing of public networks and auto-configuration of network parameters.

7. Identifies both domestic and roaming IMSI numbers, enabling seamless operation across national borders.

8. Supports IMSI statistics based on ARFCN, band, MNO, network standard, blacklist & whitelist.

9. Supports IMSI ranking based on signal strength, detection time, and country of origin.

10. IMSI list data can be exported in a file. All detected IMSIs are recorded with country, MNO, signal strength, detected time, and GPS coordinate.

11. Detects mobile phones at a height of up to 300 meters, and underground depth of up to 8 meters.

12. With the payload, the flight time is 26 minutes for a single pair of batteries.

TWO MOUNTING OPTIONS

To accommodate various user requirements across different application scenarios, the airborne IMSI Catcher offers two mounting options. It can be installed beneath the drone's belly for searching and locating targets from the air to the ground. Alternatively, it can be mounted on top of the drone with the antenna facing horizontally, enabling effective target detection and location in high-rise buildings within metropolitan areas.
